He said that his passion for martial arts began in childhood, after he watched the athletes in the clubs in the Bar, Khyber, which only fueled his interest.

Masoud Afridi was trained in kyokushin-kai karate by coaches Aurangzeb and Jabir Afridi. Later, after moving to Peshawar, he practiced kickboxing and jiu-jitsu, winning medals at the district and provincial levels, including a silver medal at the National Jiu-Jitsu Tournament.

Later he represented Pakistan at International GTF competitions in Russia, where he won four gold medals, two silver and a bronze in various sports.

Masoud Afridi was appointed Secretary General of the GTF Pakistan on December 22, 2023, and Nabil Afridi became the President of the GTF Pakistan. Since then, efforts to promote the GTF in Pakistan have intensified. Training camps were organized in various cities, including all seven divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, attracting a large number of male and female athletes. The inter-division championship was successfully held in Peshawar, and plans are being developed to hold tournaments at the tribal district level.

Answering the question, Masoud Afridi said that plans are being developed not only to hold the World GTF Championship, but also to hold International tournaments. The GTF Pakistan is in contact with officials of the Global Taekwon-Do Federation, and as soon as they receive the green light, preparations will begin.
