Masoud Afridi’s Remarkable Victory at the Global Taekwondo Championship

A Warm Welcome at Bacha Khan Airport Alongside His Team.

After representing Pakistan in the Global Taekwondo World Championship held in Al Ain, Dubai, and winning 12 medals including a gold, renowned athlete Masoud Afridi and his team were given a grand welcome upon their return to the country at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar.

A large number of people from various walks of life, tribal elders, youth, and sports enthusiasts were present at the airport to receive the team. Among those present were ADC Khyber Nawaz Afridi, SHO Bara Javed Afridi, Team Head Fazal Haq Afridi, PML-N leader Ihsanullah Afridi, Youth Leader Malik Abid Faiz Afridi, and hundreds of spectators who warmly welcomed the athletes.

On the occasion, ADC Nawaz Afridi stated, “Masoud Afridi is our national hero. Returning home as a champion is a moment of pride for the entire country, especially for Khyber District.”

On special instructions from District Khyber Police Officer Rai Mazhar Iqbal, SHO Bara Javed Afridi also presented bouquets to the players and encouraged them.

While speaking to the media, Masoud Afridi said,

“We thank Allah Almighty for allowing us to earn this honor for Pakistan. The children of the tribal areas possess immense talent—they only need opportunities and encouragement.”

He further added,

“We are deeply grateful to Frontier Corps (KP North) and the Pakistan Army for their guidance and support. These institutions have always stood by us, and we hope that such opportunities in the future will continue to bring more victories for Pakistan
